I had a globecast receiver with dish but changed the receiver to a coolsat 7000.
Have a fixed dish "positioned" to get a signal from AMC4. I am receiving channels (BVN tv) on AMC4. Would like to know if i could get more channels from different satelite of different settings with the same dish?

you should. There is a bunch of channels on AMC4 (now SES1) including History and Bio

If you have a Coolsat 7000 do a blind scan to bring them in

You would need to add a switch and at least one more LNB, but you can generally pull sats that are 4º apart. So from the 101º position you can get 97º and 105º at the closet and then spread out from there probably as much as 10º on each side. What size dish do you have?
