How often should the outside wiring be changed out? My current wires are about 8 years old and seem a bit brittle. I am in California, so the cable is only subject to rain and sun.

Rule#1: If its not broke, don't fix it.

Rule #2 If the signal strength is good don't worry.
Rule #3 At about 10 years it may get a pin hole somewhere and get water logged when you wanty it fail the least.
