Man the sound on the channel is reallygood tonight.. ACDC uncut is on right now really good so far..

What the heck happened to "For Those About to Rock"? The sound went to 2 channels and it sounds really crappy. The whole concert was in DD 5.1 but the last and better song wasn't. Did anybody else have the same problem?

I noticed throughout I had higher volume coming from my rear surround speakers than my front and middle ones!

That's correct but at least you could hear the sound. On that last song I couldn't hear crap on the surround speakers and sound just went down the drain. I don't know if that was a source, Palladia, or Dish Network problem.

I caught part of the No Bull concert in Spain the other evening. I was really surprised at how good the band sounded. I watched for awhile and had a good time. My kids didn't seem to care for Angus though.

My daughter was doing the Angus shuffle with the guitar :) but she also like Iron Maiden and Motley Crue. :)

I saw ACDC back in 2000ish in Knoxville. I was on the floor about 10 rows back from the stage. At that time it was the loudest concert ever at Thompson Bowling Arena. Can't remember the numbers now, but do remember that my ears were seriously ringing!

More often than not the audio mix on this channel seems terrible. I've recorded a few concerts and end up deleting most of them because the mix is so bad. Surrounds tend to be up way to high a lot. Def Leppard/Taylor Swift Crossroads was terrible last week.

I had a problem when I recorded the ACDC concert, I will check the Rush concert today and see if it has an audio problem. But you're right, Palladia does have some audio problems.

So far, Genesis: When in Rome has been my favorite (not to say I haven't watched other things).

I too miss Rave with their assortment of Genesis, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel and more. Remember the Monreux Jazz Fesival 2003 (part 5 of 7) with Jethro Tull & Yes? I also liked Deep Purple and all the Later with Jools Holland shows.

At least I still have some of this stuff still on my DVR.

I am somewhat lucky lately as I am pretty close (12 miles) to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts located at the original Woodstock Music & Arts Fair Site. I caught a few great shows there this past summer with my favorite being Hippiefest. I took my 20 year old daughter along and she just kept saying these guys did this and those guys did that? She loved it too. I understand some of the Bethel Woods shows were recorded but not released as of yet. I don't know if they will ever be broadcasted on a channel such as Rave or Palladia, I don't know but it would be a treat.

Note: Check out the links I provide above. :)

Odd question about old equipment.
