Pansat 2500A remote compatible with 2700 or 3500?

I've been considering using a Slingbox with a DVB receiver. Slingbox supports the Pansat 2500A IR remote functions and I was wondering if it work with a 2700 or 3500 receiver. I guess I could add my own, but the tools I've found for doing this are Windows only and I am using a mac. Since the 2500A is already in the Slingbox database it sure would make life easier.

not that I'm aware of

I remember when I had a Pansat 9200 and a 1500 the 9200 remote controlled the 1500 with no issues but not the other way around. Some of the buttons worked but not all of them
