Partial recordings

Few times now I found programs that didn't record all the way to the end. I just found out that the season finale of Boss stopped recording after about 30 minutes. Unfortunately I saw this happen on other shows as well with no indication why the recoding stopped. It was not space issue since I have only 3% used. In this case Dish VOD came to the rescue but it is annoying never the less.

Did the daily schedule say it was completed or stopped by an user?

I cannot tell anymore since it is too old but since we were out of the country when this was recorded I'd assume it was not stopped by a user.

How many recordings has this happened on?

This time it happened to one recording. A month or so ago it happened to another program although in that case it said that it was stopped by user but my wife swore up and down that she didn't stop it.
