The problem could be one or more of many things:

- Incorrect settings on the receiver. Is the Local Oscillator (LO) setting on the receiver set to C-band (5150 MHz)? If there are any switches between the receiver and dish you will need to enter the appropriate settings into the receiver.

- Incorrect dish position. It should be aimed at 89.6° according to the compass with an elevation angle (from the ground) of 24.3°. Is the dish motorized or fixed on a specific satellite?

- Defective or improper connection between the receiver and dish. The coax cable should go to the receiver's IF input connector.

- No polarity control. What type of LNB is on the dish, if you know? If it has three wires in addition to the coax coming from it, you will need to hook them to an analog receiver in order to control polarity.

- When you tested those transponders, did you get a quality reading of anything besides zero? What menu option did you use to do the test?

Please provide as much information about your equipment as you can. I don't know how much more I can do to help but I'll try. Hopefully one of the experts here can help if I can't.

(edit: someone else will definitely have to help as I'll be away for a few hours)

No Channel Found.

Dear Machman,
My delsat 5500 fta receiver got 4 type of LNB: C band, Ocs-C band, Wide band & Universal.Actually i dont know the Dish position, but all the satellite is correct position, and the Dish is FIXED.I'm watching most of channels from TELSTAR-10.
I did try to scan 3374 H 3000,3783 H 3250,4034 V 19559,4173 V 3000 transponders from PAS-7/10, i didnt get signal or quality.The screen show" No Channel Found".All of transponders i get from LyngSat.Please,help me.

The receiver's LNB setting should probably be C-band (it's unlikely that you have an OCS LNB, but even if you do the LNB will still work for one polarity).

I'm not familiar with that specific receiver, but a zero signal reading probably means that the LNB isn't connected to it properly. There could be a short or a broken connection in the cable, bad LNB, incorrect switch settings, no power to the LNB, etc... Is there just a single uncut cable between the receiver and the LNB or something more complex? Are there any other wires coming though the wall next to that one?

I'm not sure what you mean by "all the satellite is correct position". Are you referring to the settings in the receiver?

Anyone else have any ideas?

What channels are you getting from Telstar10?
Do the TPs Freq. have 4 or 5 Digits?

and the Dish is FIXED.I'm watching most of channels from TELSTAR-10
If the Dish does not move, you can only get the 1 Sat that it's pointing to. So if you are getting Telstar10 @ 76.5east, that's where it's pointing to.

No Channel Found.

Dear Machman,
actually i don't have any idea abot of satellite.May be something complex. There were no any other wires coming through the wall (only electricity wires). "All the satellite is correct position" means:
Hotbird =13.0 E
Nilesat-101 =7.0 W
Asiasat-3S =100.5 E
Insat-2E/3B/4A=83.0 E
Nss-6 =95.0 E
Eutelsat-W5 =70.5 E, etc.
I am watching BANGLADESHI Channels from Telstar-10 and all the transponers frequency is 4 digits.Could you tell me about switch setting?
