Pause/Resume on Different TV

Maybe this is me not knowing how to do this correctly, but I tested Pause in one room and resume in another and it didn't work. I was watching the news this morning on the Hopper, hit pause, went to the bedroom where the Joey was and tried finding where/how to resume with no luck.

Ended up going back to the Hopper to "Record" the news and then on the Joey it shows up under DVR, but I have to start over. Is there a true Pause/Resume functionality that I'm missing? I'd think it would work more seamlessly vs. having to create a recording and resume from that.

Press the red shortcut button and select the tuner that has the program that's paused. Should be able to pick up from where you were.

So how about this scenario:
If you pause live TV, then turn off the Hopper's video output and go into the next room. When you hit the red button and select the feed that was going to the Hopper in the last room, does it resume from where you paused it or does it start again live. I think it starts up from live again.
