I've had my new 622 receiver for little over a month now. I've noticed a couple of things that seem "off". Let me start by saying I currently live alone. This past weekend, I was cleaning up the DVR'd events and noticed there were several things there that I know I did not record. These were events in spanish mostly.

In cleaning up the junk, I noticed there was an event recorded from one of the adult channels. Seeing this, I pulled up the event history and saw that I will be charged $10.99 for the event, which was purchased at 2 AM on Wednesday morning, when I was sleeping like most decent folk. Also on the history was the De La Hoya fight, which showed to have been ordered at 2 AM on Saturday morning this past weekend, for $54.95. I called DISH and disputed these charges, and it sounds like they will be taken care of, but how does this happen? Any ideas? FYI, my box is plugged into the phone line.

um, follow the tv2 cable and make sure no one is tapping into your line, and ordering evens with a dif remote lol.. also try changing your tv2 remote code. anything else i have no idea

A friend of mine had channels changing erratically. It came down to the neighbor accidentally changing it via the remote 2. I would change the Freq. of the remote 2 to rule this out.

That would be a possibility. My neighbors on either side are hispanic and that's what is normally being DVR'd when something doesn't add up. I just walked around and saw both houses have DISH on their roof.

You might also want to set a PPV lock, so you have to enter a password to order events. This will prevent any charges from roaming remote signals. It won't help on your unwanted recordings of other shows. I would change the remote code as most people don't bother and use the default.

WHOA WHOA WHOA.......Decent folk are up at 2 am drinking beer, watching porn, and planning for the best boxing match of 2007. Additionally, some of those spanish soap operas are pretty good.

You can change TV2's remote address but if it is not done right all you are going to do is change your neighbors remote address at the same time and you will still have that problem. You will need to have your neighbors unplug their recievers while you change your remotes address,

Right! This is the first thing you should do is lock down Adult and PPV channels to require a code to order. Next, change the code on your remote.

Sounds like one of your neighbors is on the same remote channel and is operating your receiver in parallel to yours.

Umm, not exactly. There's a reason that you press the SysInfo button on the front panel of your receiver when changing the remote address. That step cannot be done remotely.
