I have a fairly new H3 with a fairly old Cielo TV hooked up to the Hopper's component outputs. Nobody has done anything to the configuration last week. But nevertheless, all of a sudden, it's all red and green. I can unplug the Pb cable from the TV, and nothing changes.

I have done all the testing I can do easily, and I wondered what people would recommend next. Obviously another source would help. When you turn on the TV, it has a beautiful blue background behind the Cielo logo, so the panel itself is fine. I have trouble believing that the cables, which have been fine for a long time, would suddenly break.

The 2nd source is easier than another cable. The TV has HDMI1, 2, and 3, VGA, and composite A/V sharing inputs with component. I am going to crank up the Zotac Z box mounted on the back, once I find an HDMI cable, and see what that does.

Argh! I can't find the power supply for that Zotac to save my life! I did find the wireless keyboard/trackball I bought for it.

Apologies if I missed this in your description, but why not hook up the Hopper via HDMI, since you mention the TV has three HDMI ports.

All my HDMI cables are too short except for the one that's snaking through the ceiling to my main TV upstairs. :( I still haven't found the stupid PS for my Zotac Zbox. New ones cost upwards of $30. I should just buy one anyhow, knowing I'll find my own the next day, and then send the new one back. :D

Now you just jinxed it and am not gonna find it.

Just ordered one of these: Amazon product ASIN B074MQWLHC If I'm going to buy long cables, I should try some composite cables to replace what's there now.

It didn't fit! :crying By the way, I meant "component cables" above.

If I can find my old Roku SE, I'll test the HDMI input using that. This still won't tell me if the TV's component input, the cables, or the Hopper's component outputs, have gone bad.

Does anybody know if you can put 4K through component cables? My wife asked me to buy another Roku TV this morning... :D I almost bought the 43" TCL from Best Buy for $200. But it has no component inputs. :(

4K requires HDMI. You can’t get it through component cabling.
