PLatinum (old UHF) DVR501 remote work w/ 622 TV#2?

My eBay 622 reciever only comes with a TV1 remote... (IR only)

1) Will my older Silver/PLatinum UHF remote from my PVR501 work for TV2?

2) If not, then will a 6.0 UHF Remote (form 625 series) work with the 622?

3) CUrrently, I DO NOT have any controllers that work with TV2, is there any way I can control TV2 straight from the 622 receiver?

1) I'm not sure...perhaps others will chime in.

2) Most definitely will work.

3) The only way you can directly control TV2 from the receiver is if the 622 is in single-mode.

The 501 and 508 remotes aren't backwords compatable, but any 6.0 or a 8.0 remote along with the 10.0 remotes will work. They need to be set for the remote address for the receiver press menu on the IR remote twice press and hold the Sat button on the Uhf remote til it stays lit then choose any number below 21 then press the pound button. Now press the record button now the remote will work TV2. I have a 501 508 and 622 and an inactive 811 the 8.0 for the 811 will work tv2.

Off to ebay to buy a tv2 remote...

WHich is a better option? 6.0 or 8.0? --they both seem to be around $6-$8...

Remote that is made for tv2 is a 6.3 IR/UHF Pro remote.

gary: the 6.3 remote seems to run ~$20 on ebay... will the 6.0 remote work the same?

There may be differences, I am not sure. The 6.3 is the one that comes with new 622's.
