I'm in Hawaii and I have a lone 30" dish that is now on 119, which I would like to now point at 129.

Can anyone tell me approximately how many degrees of elevation to lift it and how many degrees to rotate it to the west?

I don't have a signal meter, so I'm using a 501 and a tiny TV to point the dish. I have to be pretty close before beginning to get a signal.

I can't seem to find 129 pointing info.

The 501 isn't going to work since I don't think it will pick up 8PSK modulations... I'm not totally sure on that though.

The only QPSK is 21 and 32 right now on 129. But I doubt you can get those in HI.

Bross, Thank you. That is just the info I wanted. Great site. Up 9.1 degrees and +9.5 degrees azimuth.

Digiblur, I think you are correct. I may need to pull my 722 outside to do this. the conus signal on Ceil-2 is useless for Hawaii. We'll likely only see tp's 2,4,6 14 for now.

Got any diplexers? Diplex the TV1/TV2 signal from the 722 back into the LNB wire and out near the dish and use the UHF remote and TV without moving the 722. Or just run a long cable out the window instead of worrying about knocking around the 722.

I had already moved it when I got your brilliant suggestion. Got 'er pointed and ran a check switch test. 129 has a red x due to reception problem (due to all channels not available?).

Here are the numbers on the 129 spotbeam transponders:

30" dish 129 west
dpp44
722
cloudy, light drizzle
