I got my 625 connected and went to point the dish. The screen says Zipcode Dish Tuner transpondr sat
What sat do I want? I thought it was 119 here in SW Montana/...
What transponder do I need???
Do they have to be selected for the thing to lock ???
The screen says wrong sat. I peaked with a meter too and got signal but there are 2 right next to each other...
If I stand behind the dish ,which is the sat on the right and which is a little left..??

You'll want to check out 110/119 transponders 14,15,16 & 21.

From behind the dish, looking the direction the dish is pointed, 110 is on the left, 119 is on the right, in the sky.

However, on the LNB's themselves, 119 is the left LNB, 110 is the right LNB.

I got it going and after 2 calls to Dish its downloading receiver stuff..But its been stuck on this screen for 25 minutes so far...??
is this normal..
its on the "your receiver is being authorized...."

I'm guessing it's the 128 message. Try unplugging the receiver, the 128 normally take a couple minutes (I would say about 10 max) in my experience. It may have froze up while being activated.

heres my experience setting up
1 pointing dish at 5degrees F froze fingers and couldnt get a lock
2wrong sat
3 switched transponder and got a lock at 30 dbm
4 it downloaded updates and I called Dish
5 the programming didnt show up for hours so recalled Dish
6 they resent and the receiver activating screen froze for hours
7 I reset and got message sat signal lost
8 next day restarted and got infomercial channels
9 switched receiver to single and something happened and got some programming
10 called dish and got correct programming which they screwed up
11 they got everything right and I checked signal and it had jumped to 80
12 dont know why works fine

Well it definitely sounds like this turned out to be more then a weekend project, but at least it's working (finally). Please post here if there is anything that we can do for you.
