I searched but did not find any recent posts. Is a pole mount installation still free if there is no line of site from the roof? I may have too many mature trees around my house for a roof mount.

Are there any free apps to help check for line of site?

Thank you for all of your help on this forum.

It depends on the hsp or contractor, should be free but it could depend. Dish pointer and satellite AR are available, but not 100% trustworthy. I've used sat AR to show a customer a nlos, and the image was a bit off what the inclinometer said. Still proved my point about a nlos at the time tho

I saw an internet site that would use google maps that showed satellite obstructions. Sorry, I didn't bookmark it. You would have to perform a search if you want to find it.

per D*, HSP are not allowed to charge for pole mounts anymore. although there is some friction on that particular point. contractors may still charge, but like twisted said, you can request an in house (or hsp) to do it.
