Has anybody had any luck getting a Directv Phase 3 dish without the lnbf to work as a Dish1000? The biggest problem I see is where it gets wider towards the end it would be hard to get the plastic W on it. This Directv installer put a Phase 3 dish on a Dish500 skew plate and said the bolt patters line right up. I figure someone might as well just use the Phase 3 reflector as well unless someone wanted to make a Dish500 out of the Phase 3 dish. He spraypainted the Directv print to make it look like a blank dish.
