Switched from DTV to HD Dishnet today, TV 1 on 722 Receiver has a great picture but bedroom tv on the whole house 2nd tv port is unwatchable. With the Direct TV the picture wasn't the greatest but watchable. The installer set 2nd TV for air channel 60. Can I add an amp somewhere and what type. Upstairs TV is a Samsung 1080p less than a year old. May have to switch back to Direct TV tommorrow, Thanks for a great site

Lower channels have less signal loss per foot of cable run.

HDTV's, especially LED TV's are notorious for poor picture quality on SD signals.

If the problem is snow the lower channel setting should help a lot.

If the problem is a smeary, hazy picture, the is the TV's best effort at SDTV.

Please tell me you realize that the second TV is not going to be in HD. Far from the 1080p resolution of your flatscreen, the box only puts out 480i on the second TV.
