I normally idle over in the Prime Time TV shows section.
When one of the three adverts just below the stickies comes up from a game company, there is also a pop up over my screen offering it for download.
Bugged me all day, but figured it would get reported and blocked.
Apparently not.
Will stop and write down the details, but surely I'm not the first to notice . . .

details

The pop up in its own little box reads:
.
http://lax1.ib.adnxs.com
Monster Legends Mobile - #1 game of the month
CANCEL / OK
.
and the advert that always accompanies this pop up reads:
.
Monster Legends
become a hero
play now
.

Anole, are you using the app or a browser? I don't think I've noticed an ad in the app... Though I do agree, ads that redirect me to the app store send my nerd rage skyrocketing.

I'm on iPhone browser, Safari.
iOS version 6.1.3.
.
edit: yes, I've seen a redirect to the App Store previously, too.
After a few second time delay, just to confuse you.
Those have been delivered on SatGuys, as well.
I immediately stop the redirect, and never knew if they were game-related.
Will pay more attention to the associated advert, in the future. ;)

Sneaky divert to the App Store

Well, no one has really commented on the pop up, but it no longer happens. :up
.
As to the redirects to the App Store, this just happened while idling on SatGuys:
- Candy Crush Saga
- King.Com Limited
.
There was no advert showing for a game company that I could see.
But come to think of it, the SatGuy page would refresh when looked at, replacing the offending advert! :)

edit:
Just got another redirect to App Store and the accompanying advert:
- RetailMeNot Coupons
- RetailMeNot Inc.
This time I even saw the advert by the same name!
At first the 3rd advertising panel was blank, then it blinked.
That got my attention.
A few moments later, the advert filled in for the company.
Then after another short delay, the auto redirect to the App Store happened.
Very stealthy, very underhanded, very clever.
