I just took advantage of DirecTV's free HD upgrade offer today. They replaced my old HD receiver with an H23 in our kids' playroom (we don't subscribe to HD yet - I was just taking advantage of the offer to get the upgraded receiver).

However, after the installer installed the new Slimline 3 dish he was unable to get the 72.5 sat to be detected on my bedroom receiver and main receiver in the living room (DirecTivo SD-DVR40). So, he replaced both despite my futile attempt to scour the internet for a resolution before he started the replacement process on the DVR40 (I love the Tivo interface). The DVR40 was replaced with an R22, but now I have lost all my recordings.

Is there an easy way for me to get the recordings off of the DVR40 and on to the R22?

Easy? No. Check in the underground for hints on how it might be able to be done.

It would be easier to just archive the shows off to DVDs.
