Ever since the last release (0x256) all three of my HR2x boxes have been either going into power save mode or screen saver mode.
I have turned off the power saver and rebooted, but it doesn't help. They either go to sleep or have the D* logo dancing around the screen.

I realize it's only a minor annoyance. But if I turn it off it should be off.

Anyone else experience this?
Any way to actually shut it off?

Thanks

Curious, what boxes are you referring to (models)?

I haven't had that happen on any of my recvrs, but I'm currently using the HR24's.
You said you turned that option OFF in the menu's correct ?

It's a bug, I see it on my HR20 and HR24. DirecTV knows about it but has not fixed it yet.

models are hr21 & hr22

And yes, I did turn off the power saver.

I guess it's just another little annoyance that D* feels we should have to endure.

Thanks for the info.

The power saver issue may be a bug, but not the screen saver. I don't think there is an option to disable it.

Just one final thought.

I use HDMI connections on all the HR2xs, so they "know" when the TVs are on.
At some point after I turn off the TV(s), the screen saver kicks in.

Doesn't it seem totally idiotic to have a SCREENSAVER running when the TV and (most important) the SCREEN is off?

If your TV is OFF, how do you know the screensaver is on ? :D
