PQ decrease with new DVR

I bought a DVR today at Best Buy. I simply switched the wires from the exact same locations on the standard receiver that D* installed. Now, my PQ basically sucks. It's nowhere near the quality it was with the old receiver. As I said, the only thing that's changed is the receiver itself, no new wiring or anything like that.

It's the R10 DVR model, btw.

Any suggestions?

Go into the new DVR setup menu and check the settings. Maybe the output setting (1080, 720, ect) isn't correct.

R10 is not an HD receiver. so those settings will not apply. Use S-Video connection for best PQ. What type of display do you have?
