It might just be me but it seems that the picture quality has improved over the last month. I had dish installed in sept. 2004 and the picture quality was not real good. It looks like in the last month the pq is a lot better, has anyone else noticed this or is it just me.

I've been very happy with my PQ, both SD and HD since I got my 811 earlier this week. I really don't see how anyone could complain about the 811's SD picture quality. I find it incredibly clear coming out of the DVI and/or Component outputs. I just leave mine in 1080i all the time.
I wasn't really satisfied with the PQ from E* until I got my 811, but now I'm very satisfied.

I use the DVI out of my 811 and love it. When I go back to watching something on the 501, it nearly kills me. I remembered when S-video first came out, I was soo happy!
Just seems like the Travel Channel (215) is a bit more fuzzy/blurry than the other SD channels. HD is nearly spectacular! Having more of it would be even better, but that obviously isn't happening...
