Blockbuster Introduces ‘Kids Summer Pass’ - Unlimited Movie Rentals for $4.99
McKinney, Texas – July 6, 2011 – Blockbuster L.L.C. is inviting parents to keep their kids entertained every day for the remainder of the summer without breaking the bank. At Blockbuster’s “summer camp” – Camp WannaWatchaMovie – kids and parents don’t have to worry about putting on sun screen or getting bug bites. Instead, kids can watch unlimited kids and family movies for an entire month with the new Kids Summer Pass.
Beginning today, customers can get unlimited kids and family movies on either DVD or Blu-ray for $4.99 a month (one movie out at a time) with the new Kids Summer Pass. Blockbuster will even throw in with each pass purchased a themed tote that kids can carry their movies in. The totes are available while supplies last.
Have more than one kid? No problem! Parents can purchase a two-movie Kids Summer Pass for $9.98 or three-movie pass for $14.97.
“Every child will want to be a Camp WannaWatchaMovie camper at Blockbuster this summer,” said Kevin Lewis, Chief Marketing Officer at Blockbuster. “With the Kids Summer Pass, parents can bring their kids in from the hot sun and keep them entertained while on road trips, sleepovers or at home for the remainder of the summer for a very low price.”
Movies rented on the Kids Summer Pass do not have due dates or incur additional daily rates. Passes are good for four weeks and must be purchased or renewed prior to Sept. 5.
