I mounted an antenna outdoors (Monoprice Digital Outdoor Antenna HDA-5700) and want to combine its signal with my DISH ViP222k TV2 signal to feed a bedroom flatscreen TV. This is because the DISH receiver TV2 output is not High Definition., whereas the OTA signal is.
Both signals are being fed backwards thru a coax splitter (ie, connected to the outputs, "input" connected to the TV.).
Doing a channel scan at the TV (antenna mode), I am receiving all local channels in good quality. The DISH signal images appearing on channel 22 are of poor quality. But when I unplug the in line Antenna amplifier (provided with the HDA-5700 antenna) I lose the OTA digital signals but the DISH signals on CH. 22 are normal.
Can anyone suggest a way to get both sources of signals to the TV while maintaining their individual qualities?
