Problem with 722 and dish 1000.2 with 4th LNBF..

Greetings..

I recently started having a problem with my 722 and dish 1000.2 with 4th LNBF.

(first the setup and history)
I have a 722 receiver connected to a 1000.2 LNBF with a single DP LNBF connected to the input (on the 1000.2). I am not actually using 129 LNBF on the 1000.2 it is blocked by trees. I added a 30" dish for 129. These dishes are connected to the receiver with 200' of cable. Everything was working fine for the last 7 months.

Anyway, here is the problem.. Recently, I lost my signal from all my LNBFs. Ran a check switch and the receiver thought there was 38 ports instead of the 4 in my 1000.2. It seemed like the cable was disconnected. (like when you run a checkswitch with the cable disconnected) This is when things got confusing. If I disconnect the extra dish from the 1000.2 the receiver recognizes the 1000.2 and sees 110 and 119. I never could see 129 from the 1000.2 dish due to trees. If I just connect the 129 dish/LNBF the receiver recognizes 1 LNBF and 129.

I swapped out the 1000.2 LNBF and got the same results.

I plan on wiring up a 1000.2 with an external LNBF and connect them directly to the
splitter (on the receiver) to eliminate any cable issues. I do not have an extra splitter to eliminate that right now..

Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

What type lnb's are you using on all four sat locations? Is there an external switch or are you using one built into an lnb?

The switch(s) are integrated into the 1000.2 LNBF. The 1000.2 has 3 LNBFs for locations 110,119,129. There is an extra port/connector for a 4th LNBF.

My 722 connects directly to the #1 connector on the 1000.2. There are no other switches.

After further testing determined the cable running to the dishes was damaged. After replacing it everything worked normal... :up
