Problem with Remote

Ok I have a 522 and i removed the batteries from Remote 2 and forgot to replace them for about 4 hrs. When i replaced them the remote will not work at all even right up next to the antenna. Remote 1 works fine. Any help?

take remote one at TV1 and press menu 6-1-3 then look in lower right corner it will see remote 2 UHF it should say number then take remote 2 pres and hood until all light come on press that number after that pres pound(#) and record several time that number will blink once and you should be in business

What do you press and hold on remote 2 before entering the number?
