Problems after software upgrade

I woke up this morning with a message that my HD needed to be formatted! After several cancels finally decided to format and lose all of my recordings and timers. Call to DISH technical service with no help and them telling me that all of my timers were lost I finally figured out how to restore my timers from my remote. So besides loosing all of my recording I was back in business. NOT My search function no longer works. When I press the search button on the remote it show the result for the current show I am on, but when I clear the search box and start typing I just get a message "NO RESULTS FOUND". Now as we are recording shows the pictures on the DVR tiles are gone and I have these ugly pictures:

The guide data hasn't downloaded yet, it should search in the morning. Or you could expedite that by putting the receiver into standby.

So just wait until morning and everything will work?

Those tiles appear no many of my oldest recordings including those from VOOM, not many now.
They sometimes get replaced, perhaps when the show comes by again.
