problems with recent DVR update?

maybe a couple months ago now I either rebooted my DVR because it crashed, or I just turned it on and it spent a long time downloading some major update from dishnetwork.

ever since then virtually every aspect of the DVR has been noticably worse. Is there any way to roll back to the previous version and has anyone else experienced problems with whatever they rolled out?
 
No way to roll back to a previous version. Have you tried calling Dish? Which model # DVR are you talking about?
