Programing a remote to a new tv

I have been trying to program my Remote i have two one is a HRMC-5 and the other is a HRMC-13. I have a sony tv the codes in either boooks for these remotes do not work I tried to scan the remotes I can get then to shut the tvs off, then i press the tv power button to lock in code, but it does not turn tv back on. Help thanks.

dude,

those are hughes built remotes and they should run any sony tvs out of the box. take the batteries out for a while and reinstall them. the remote should default to factory settings, try the volume on the tv, it SHOULD work
