I up-graded my programing and had to up-grade my receiver also, to get
the new programing. Dish Network charged me $50.00 to up-grade my pro-
graming. I thought there was no charge to up-grade programing. Was I
wrong?? I just thought it was free....

Thanks a Lot,

Sorry I didn't give enough information..... They said I had to up grade my
receiver cause I was up grading my programing. I had a 311 receiver, and
got a 322 dual tuner receiver. My Dish bill said $50.00 for programing up
grade and $50.00 more, for installation. I was just wondering if they should
charge for up grading programing. My program up grade was from the 100
channels, to the 200 channel package. No HD programing.

Thanks a Lot,

This does not make sense, the 311 and 322 receive the same programming except the 322 is dual tuner and the 311 is single tuner.

Perhaps the upgrade is for the receiver and the extra$50 is for installation with no committment?

There is no charge to upgrade programming, there is a $5.00 charge to downgrade.

Your 311 would have been able to receive the 200 channel package as well as the 322 can, unless you needed to service two TV's.
