i currently have america 250 gold with gold hd, 57.99 + 10 = 67.99
looking at dtv site i see turbohd gold for 49.99, and it seems to have all the same channels

amd i seeing something wrong?

When you say DTV, are you talking about Dish or DirecTV? I assume Dish since you say Turbo HD Gold. The Turbo packages have ONLY HD programming, for instance, since there is no AMC HD on Dish yet, you will not get AMC, or FMC, TCM, etc..
Also, I think that certain HD feeds which have a SD simalcast are not included in those packages, I am not sure about that.

Hopefully one of the side effects of DIRECTV being mated up with other Liberty properties will be a change in the stock symbol.

DTV means Digital TeleVision to the majority of the population. It has also been the stock symbol for DIRECTV for a very long time. In no case does dtv represent DISH Network.
