Has anyone ever tried using larger dishes, Like the winegard 1 meter, for rain fade elimination/ better signal. I'm Building a new house, thought I'd put maybe 3 larger dishes at 110, 119, and 129; then wire them to a dp34 then into a hd receiver and other units in house. Any pros/cons appreciated.

I think you pretty much nailed it. IF you have a problem with rain fade then the bigger dish will help. But you have 3 big dishes out there.

I have two 24" dishes for 110 and 119. For 129 I use a 30". Rain fade is almost non-existant. Got the bigger dishes and a DP34 from dishdepot.com, however I don't think they carry the 30 incher anymore.
