An interesting thing has happened in Europe. the PS3 has started outselling the XBOX360:

Sony PS3 in dramatic sales turn around - News - Tech.co.uk

It seems that the new pricing on the PS3 along with the new 40GB has really started moving PS3s even with the release of Halo3 for the XBOX360. As the article has pointed out only in North America has the PS3 not really started moving. Maybe the introduction of the PS3 40GB will get those sales numbers moving in the right direction.

OK... so 2 weeks of good sales is turning a corner? After 2 months of dominating? (per the article) The article goes on to state why this won't last... it has no AAA games (their statement, not mine).

Once the lower price wears off, there will be no momentum because there is nothing else really coming is there? And if there is, why haven't we heard about it? Their marketing is a good 30% of their problem now that there ARE games available for the thing... the games and price are the other 70% of the reason it's doing so poorly.

I love the new PS3 commercials!
