PVR problems return

I though they had solved these problems a few software upgrades back, but they have returned. Some time over the weekend I lost all of my scheduled timers, plus some of the programs already recorded. When I tried to redo the timers, the old problems were back. The software tried to record 60 minutes longer than the program and would not let me change, thus creating unnecessary conflicts.. Was set to skip programs because it said they were not what was scheduled when they actually were the correct program (taken from the Dish guide), etc.. Not consistent, but I guess that is a problem too.

Where does Dish find these software engineers - hanging out in trees? This has become a not very amusing joke.

They have alot of problems with the 508 510 hard drive. Upgrade to newer DVR system. Ask for the Dish-n-Up Program
 
Thanks for the suggestion. I will think about that, but the Dish engineers (in response to my emails) still say that it is an software issue they are aware of and that is being worked on. I thought it had been fixed a few months ago, but it has come back apparently with the most recent update. So I guess I will just wait a little longer to see what happens. It is frustrating.
