Just keep in mind the only thing *ish really cares about is money! If they can push lower quality on the masses, and get them to accept it as "HD", ...and in turn add thousands of new subs that don't know any better (because they have never seen true HD, AND because they think they 're getting more "HD" channels than anyone else), then they will. Just look at *al Mart, they sell billions of dollars of made in China garbage to the same lower/middle income people that lost their manufacturing jobs TO the Chinese. Why? because they can. The bottom line is they're chasing the dollar. It will probably be a long time before the average HD-TV owner has the slightest clue that he's getting *ucked by *ish or any other service provider. That's why I vote for quality. I would rather have a few less True HD channels than more hd-lite channels that would prob. run lots of repeats and up-converts anyway. If we accept HD-lite as true HD now, it will take a very long time to finally get what we all have paid for.
