Finally, after a year, finished the build out in my area, fastest speed is gigabit down and up, Charter is gigabit down, but only 40Mbps up.

The other difference is the price, Quantum will be $65 a month, Charter is currently about $140.

Install is August 7, hopefully it happens this time.

You only see the physical stuff that is being done in your area, theres a Lot of other stuff being done that no one sees, also usually multiple projects going at the same time ...

A Year does seem like a long time, but it all depends on whats being done.

Today, they are my yard doing the line burial, yet the website still says the same thing, starting to wonder about this company.

When I signed up for fiber it took a week for the first crew to come into the neighborhood to run fiber to their access point across the street. Then a week later a different crew came down and ran fiber under the street to my side of the road. 2 weeks later another crew came in and ran fiber from the road to my house. A week later another crew came back to actually turn the fiber service on and made sure the fiber to my home was online. A week later another guy came to mount the box on the side of my house and another week later another person came to actually connect the Calix Gigaspire Blast Router and turn the service on for me. So it took almost two months to get service after I signed up.

Well, after burying the line in my yard, install is now next Tuesday, originally, 8/7.

Quite happy about the new date, means I can cancel Spectrum sooner, will not be billed for next month.
