I have a Pansat 9200, I blind scanned galaxy 23 and picked up a few channels that are listed at lyngsat under a digicipher 2 column. I thought you had to have a 4dtv receiver to get those. Am I wrong in this thinking?

Well are you able to see them with your 9200? and if so, what channels are they. A lot of info from Lyngsat is not 100% accurate so you might be seeing normal DVB/DVB-S2 channels.

ok on my pansat it is 3981 v 29271, blue ocean network, mexico tv, telefe, canella, canal sur. was getting these channels in the clear but now only blue ocean, and canella. according to lyngsat under digicipher 2 its 3940 v 29270

It's a new DVB mux on Galaxy 23 that duplicates most of the channels in the Genesis Networks DCII mux.
3980 V 29270
Most of the channels are now encrypted.
