Dishnetwork has just updated their website where you can go in and change programming without calling(You can even add Locals and Superstations online,I also hope this works to remove programming too)
Anyway on my Offers page it is Offering HBO and Starz for 3 months Free, however I did this offer a while back where as I had to recommitte to 24 months( I was crazy to do that ,but thats another story)Question I have is anyone been able to do this offer again (without committement).I just dont want to go in add it on and then have them discover I had offer in past and then charge me.
Please let me know if anyone has been able to reup on the free for 3 months deal.
The reason it would be nice to do this offer(Again) is I have a New HDTV(bigger)and would be great way to see how good my new TV is,and also after thinking about when I did it last time ,Free 3 months of HBO and Starz with 24 month committement was kind of a rip off,6 months would of been more like it.

.
It been this way for atleast the last 6 months :) But you can only remove programming 1 time in a 12 month period.:(

Be warned. If you do let them add FREE HBO/STARZ , you better look at your bill the next day online. I added it to both of my dish accounts via the online chat and had to call by phone and talk to the csr to credit both accounts the 22.00 free fee. The csr couldn't figure out why they charged when it was supposed to be free. It showed up on my bill as 4 premiums. I already had top 250 bonus pack and the gold hd pack . I think DISH is playing games with this. IF you don't notice in time, they get to count you as a hbo/starz sub. Somehow they are getting some kind of bonus for counting all these FREE subs as regular subs. If you do add it ,wait till 24 -48 hours and check your bill and if it is charged as a premium call and get them to credit your account the full amount back to you. I will have to wait till next month to see if I get charged again for my" FREE "premiums.

It will say if a commitment is required.
Exsiting customer HBO and Starz Offer Doesn't require a 24 month commitment this time around.
The $10 off for 12 months Offer requires a 24 month commitment if you qualify.

He doesn't need to use the online chat if it in his Programming Offers, Just click and add. He will get his first 2 credits upfront,$40,then another $20 in 1 month.

Your Question was answered. It will say under your Promotions if a commitment is required.

I just did this ... there is no commitment extension for the the 3 months ... they do require that if you have an email on your account and that you maintain a minimum level of programming. This is not a biggie though as Classic Bronze is the lowest I believe. Paperless billing might be required too ... not sure on that.

Thank You !!

Thank You for answering my Post ,Your the first one to auctually answer my Question. I have HD Silver so I am sure I have the minimum requirement of programming.

He answered it wrong. Minimum Programming is Turbo Bronze or Dish Family. Thats the requirement if there was a 24 month commitment. Paperless Billing is not required. And I'll say it again " IT WILL SAY IF A COMMITMENT IS REQUIRED!"

If you have the offer viewable on your online account, I "would think" that you would qualify. You can always use Dish's chat to confirm though.

People's offers can vary ... when in doubt ... ask Dish.

From Dish's website:

Existing DISH Network customers: requires qualifying programming package, including a minimum of Classic Bronze 100, TurboHD Bronze, DishLATINO Clásico or a select International programming package. You must either sign up for AutoPay with Paperless Billing or provide a valid email address. You will receive a credit for each of the first 3 months. After 3 months you must call to downgrade or then-current price will apply. Offer expires 5/05/09. Offer subject to change without notice. Other restrictions may apply.

The Offers Vary But the rules are the same. For any 24 month commitment the Minimum Programming requirement is Dish Family or Turbo Bronze
I should have said it a little nicer to you I didn't mean for it to come out the way it may have sounded.:)
You are some what right. It Used to be with HD equipment the lowest pack you were aloud was Americas Top 100. But that has Changed this year. For the Better.
The Cinemax for a Penny Requires Auto Pay and Paperless Billing. But thats the rules for everyone.
But enjoy you packs. You'll be happy.:)
