Question about moving

I plan on moving in June. I want to get my hands on a 942 DVR...but at that current time, they only give it to new customers. If I quit my Dish service at my present address, then move, and then try to get Dish service again, would I be considered a new customer? Or, would I have to use my wife's name as a customer...and would she be considered new?

EDIT...assumption here is that I want to lease the 942...not purchase it.

if they have your ssn on file, then no. You would not be a new customer

Have the wife sign up as new customer
