i have a question about the ota on the vip 622/722. i recently had hooked an over the air antenna to the vip 622/722 and did the channel scan and got the channels to show up in the guide! but my question is this. when i did the scan! when i did the scan it came up with two channels with the same call letters! WVVA. one is CW and one is NBC (i did a screen shot of them to show) but how can i tell if the NBC Is HD?? if it helps the WVVA is from Bluefield, WV. or why is did they both come up with the same call letters? i dont really know much about this so i thought i would ask
any help is appreciated

I would assume that the 006-02 is the CW as a subchannel. If you want to, you can rename the 006-01 to NBC, instead of WVVA and then the same for the CW. To do this, go to the local channels in the menu---the same screen to so the scan, then select the channel and hit edit name.

ok cool!! but how can i tell if the NBC is hd or not? i went to the wvva's web site and can't find anything about it being hd only thing i find is that 6.1 is listed as DT. because on their site they have 6 6.1 dt 6.2 cw so what does the "dt" stand for?

DT stands for digital television. No guarantee that this means HD, but it is a good sign. Easiest way would be to simply watch some primetime programming. You should be able to tell. Or, you can look things up at TitanTV.com, they do a pretty good job of indicating if things are in HD or not...

ok cool!! i went to wvva's web site and they had a link to titan tv on the site. i went to it and on the prime time shows it shows (hd) beside the show for the 6.1 dt but not for the regular ch6.!! but i noticed that the picture looks much better on the prime time shows than it does for the regular news program! i thank yall for the help

In regards to OTA channels as DT or HD, based on my experience with our channels, you will find that it will depend on what the station is receiving as to what is being broadcast.

For ours, most (definitely not all) Prime Time Programming is in HD, but there are individual shows that are in SD and many programs during the day that broadcast in SD.
