Question about replacing defective HR24

How do I go about ensuring I get another HR24 and not an older clunker? If I have an installer come out to install will I be more likely to get an HR24? Thanks.

They shouldn't replace with a lesser model.

If they try to swap with less than an HR24 then do not accecpt it.

exactly but technically a HR21,22,23,24 are all in the same "family" in Directv's eyes

If an installer comes out it increases your chances greatly, they almost always have 24s on the truck.
