Question about resolution on VIP 622

When I had D* and Comcast my receiver had the option to send the signal in its native format to the television (i.e. if it was 480i it would send 480i, if it was 1080i it would send 1080i and so on.) Is there any way to have the 622 do this or does it only transmit one resolution?

It only does the resolution you set in the menu. What you want is called, among other terms, "pass-through". It's a feature that Dish is aware of people wanting and they've said they do plan to offer it. They've given NO TIMEFRAME THOUGH.
