and IIRC they are scrambled now so they wont work with a 4DTV

I think at least one of those should be viewable on a 4DTV.
I'm a little confused re the channel numbers, as they don't agree between my 4200 and Genpix, and Lyngsat doesn't agree at all with either. But it looks like right now there are 3 FP channels and one ZK channel on that MUX, which should be viewable on a 4DTV if it can tune the slightly non standard freq.
Giving 4200 ch #s, 4200 SID and Genpix SID, I get the following:
101 2 1 World Fishing channel which is FP
102 3 2 NWCN is ZK
103 4 3 color bars is FP
105 6 5 ? some infomercial type show ?

So the fishing channel should be watchable. I'm not sure what channels are on 103, 105, since the names for these 2 channels don't show up on the Genpix, so I don't know about the Pursuit thing.

I can only view NWCN on my Genpix, since it only views ZK, but the 3 FP channels come in on the 4200. There seem to be about 7 scrambled channels on the MUX which show up on the Genpix, including:

6 MAVRICK
7 GOSPEL MUSIC CHANNEL
8 TEMPO
9 NFL 1
10 NFL ALT
11 MGM CASA CLUB
12 TVG Channel

these somehow correspond to channels 100 and 106-111 on the 4200, and SIDs 1 and 7-12 on the 4200. Ie I'm confused about how the channel numbers on the 4200 relate to the SIDs on the Genpix, and don't have a clue about how they might be numbered on the 4DTV or why.

But anyway, it's possible that the Puruit channel might be the color bars channel I'm seeing, as those channels don't have text names on the Genpix, so I can't tell.

I'm curious relative to how well the 4DTV can tune this mux (unless it's mapped), since it seems to be off center on the transponder for one of the generic channels, ie off by 5 MHz. My 4200 will tune channels that are off freq that much, but tend to take a while to lock in.

OK now I am confused.

the digitrans 7100 is showing three FP/ZK:
2.Pursuit vpid:0400 apid:0401
3.NWCN vpid:0144 apid:0145
4.colorbars vpid:0208 apid:0209

when i got thr 7100 last week off ebay for $25 this was the first mux i tuned and MAVTV was also in FP mode, but right now it says unauthorized.

10:15 CST
colorbars down. now showing Live Action News 2 out of Atlanta.

No, I think it was ME who was confused

When I posted my observations, I was hindered by the fact that my 4200 doesn't tell me the names of the channels. I have to rely on them having a identifying bug up on the video or something. With my Genpix/TSREADER, it shows the names, if they are shown in the mux, but not all the names are shown. For example this is what is shown in the PAT/PMT info {I've manually entered the VPID#s for each channel at the right} :
####################################
Transport Stream ID: 267 (0x010b)

PMT PID 4094 (0x0ffe) - Network
PMT PID 553 (0x0229) - Program 1 WORLD FISHING NETWORK {528}
PMT PID 425 (0x01a9) - Program 2 {400}
PMT PID 169 (0x00a9) - Program 3 {144}
PMT PID 233 (0x00e9) - Program 4 {208}
PMT PID 361 (0x0169) - Program 6 MAVRICK {336}
PMT PID 617 (0x0269) - Program 7 GOSPEL MUSIC CHANNEL {592}
PMT PID 681 (0x02a9) - Program 8 TEMPO {656}
PMT PID 489 (0x01e9) - Program 9 NFL 1 {464}
PMT PID 1129 (0x0469) - Program 10 NFL ALT {1104}
PMT PID 1385 (0x0569) - Program 11 MGM CASA CLUB {1360}
PMT PID 809 (0x0329) - Program 12 TVG Channel {784}
PMT PID 4086 (0x0ff6) - Program 80 {not video)

#################################################
IE program 2, 3, and 4 aren't identified.

Anyway, I was wrong when I said that
" 101 2 1 World Fishing channel which is FP "
I identified the 4200 channel 101 as being the fishing channel, only because they had programming on at the time that involved fishing, so I assumed that it was the fishing channel. That turns out to be wrong.
I just now tuned in the mux again with the 4200, and NOW there IS a bug at the bottom showing that 101 is NOT the fishing channel, but instead it is Pursuit. So what I thought was fishing was Pursuit. The VPID#s agree with what you show for Pursuit.
Your VPID #s help me to identify the color bars too, as my Genpix shows 208 as Program 4.

Anyway, now looking at the lineup on my Genpix/TSREADER, it looks like the fishing channel must have been channel 100 on my 4200, which was encrypted, and I couldn't see what it was. Basically, I just moved all the channels down one when I saw a fishing show on channel 101, thinking that Pursuit was fishing. Now, all the SID #s seem to line up correctly.

So anyway, it was ME who was confused, since I had to identify the 4200 channels by programming not by any ID the receiver was showing.

BTW, today, I'm no longer getting the channel 105 that had an infomercial on before. Looking at how the list lines up, I guess that channel corresponds to the "MAVRICK" channel, so I guess that channel comes and goes. And I\from what you say, that color bar channel must come and go too.

Anyway, sorry for confusing you. I just assumed that since there was video of people fishing, that it must be the fishing channel. I assumed wrong.

:eek:
