I am trying to decide whether to buy an HR20 or stick with my HR10 for now. Main thing that has me swaying is PQ. I've seen a couple of people state that they are seeing a better PQ with the HR20 than the HR10.

Not having an OTA tuner sucks but that should be remedied soon and I can just use my plasma for watchin OTA.

Any input on whether to buy or to wait would be greatly appreciated as my inital plan was to wait and buy after I get HD locals.

I'd wait, unless you wanted the DVR. The PQ is better than before, but not that much better. My OTA HD PQ is still far better than anything I have seen on D*. If I would have read up on the HR20 I would have waited until most of the bugs were worked out. I still think changing channels takes way too long, compared to my H20. I miss my H20.

I'd wait if I were you, elwaylite.

I've had a pair of HR20s for over a week now and am finally getting used to their differences from my HD TiVos (which I still have hooked up, by the way).

When I switch back and forth I can see a subtle, but very detectable, edge in quality to the H20s.

For me, picture quality on my H20 local channels in HD is at time unwatchable - looks a lot like video on an average Internet connection on a PC. It's up and down, but has me very nervous about MPEG4 taking over all DTV broadcasts.

Again this depends on your location my mpeg-4 locals are rock solid on the H20 and the HR20.;)
