Question for techs

First question is that are your warehouses giving you refurbs to put in and if they are how many dont work out of the box? I have about 1 out of 3 say cannot read card 745

Second question is that I am starting to see alot of R-15's that just reboot themselves over and over and never start up all the way.

Anyone else having these issues

Yes on the refurbs, but no on the R15's. I've also had two refurbs that were still activated on the previous customers account.

You are not paying for a new box, but for the right to use the equipment.
You never own it so I guess it doesn't matter.

As I get it.
Most "refurbs" are actually shipped and returned. They have been to one customer location.maybe unpacked and for one reason or another not activated. HSPs are where the majority of the "refurbs" end up. The few I have seen worked but it was obvious someone had broken the "security" seal and put another security seal over the old one. Go figure. If it helps, DISH guys keep new spares because of the numerous DOA boxes they get.
