Hi
New to site; hope I'm doing this right.

Want to get direct tv for my summer cabin in Va, zip 23093
Want to keep the same local stations as my comcast stations in Md. zip 20705

Called direct tv who said no can do

Next door neighbor in Va moved from same Md zip and had no problem with Md local stations (just took his equip. with him)

Any ideas on how to get it done without doing what my neighbor did.

Sounds like it is a political problem, not technical

Would appreciate any help

It sounds like you want to keep your Comcast setup in MD & only have DirecTV in Va at your summer home?

Most people in your scenario would have DirecTV at their primary residence & simply install a second dish at their vacation home & bring their receivers with them. If you're lucky enough that your vacation home falls within the spotbeam of your primary residence you will get the HD locals at both places.

If you're having DTV install a new dish (with a new account) in VA they will not give you MD locals; they will give you the locals of the summer home city.

You will need to establish DTV service at your MD address & then move it to your summer home. If your neighbor is telling you the truth, you should receive the MD locals.
