Question on what is best equipment?

Im getting the Genie. When I call on the phone I qualify for a hdbox to go with the genie. When I do it online I qualify for the client. Im not sure what to go with? What can I do on one and not the other. Also am I able to use the ondemand on the tv with either one of these? Also I used dish pointer and it shows a tree in the way. Does this mean that I wont get the service to work at all?

the client has no tuner, it used a tuner from the genie, but allows you to pause,ff, rewind ect
an hd box, assuming its a an h24 or h25, has a tuner, you cannot pause, rewind, ff without hitting record first
its a personal preference

as to the tree, you will need a sight evaluation to be certain

You can do on demand with the client but not the standard HD box. You would have to record the on demand from the HR34 and then go and start watching it from the HD box if you didn't go with the client.

The big question would be how many shows do you expect to record at the same time? If you are going to want to record 4 shows and watch a different one on each device you would be best to go with the H25. The primary benefit of the H25 is that you have an independent tuner that can be used outside of the HR34.

I got my order in online. I got the Genie and the client. Funny thing is I was talking to a rep online when I was putting my order though. I asked him where I put a referral in. He said that I had to call in to do that. More digging online I found where you put the account in. Im guessing he should have known that lol. Thanks for the help again guys. I get installed in two weeks. Ill let you all know how it went.
