I need a way to connect my Vip622 and a new Blu-Ray player to my wireless router. However, my router is down in my basement. The receiver and my blu-ray player are in my living room which doesn't allow me to run a cable to my router.

What devices (bridge, switch, etc) would I need to provide a wireless connection for multiple devices to an existing router?

any wireless router will support multiple devices. The ps3 has a wireless device built in so you are looking for a wireless device for the 622.
I personally use a game wireless adapter from Dlink, but others have used other routers such as a linksys or buffalo.

There are a whole bunch of threads on this try searching the dish forums using a keyword of wireless i got over 500 hits such as this one http://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-network-forum/170939-connecting-vip722-using-wireless-network.html

I am using Netgear powerline adapters model 103 and 104 and these seem to work fine for me. You do have to make sure that they are not plugged into surge protectors or GFCI power outlets The model 104 has 4 outlets for ethernet cables and it seems to work like a local hub or switch. There are some lower prices on Ebay.

A wireless bridge made by d-link is what I use. It works well in conjunction with my router upstairs. I have a 722, sony blu-ray, & xbox 360 running off it and have had no problems with downloads or streaming games.
There are several other options out there...some cheaper some not. I chose this due to the fact I also have a d-link router and wanted to keep it all the same. That way if I ever had a problem I wouldn't get the "it's not our equipment must be theirs" game played on me.

Here is the model I'm running....
