Hi,
I know nothing about satellite but was hoping someone could provide assistance. I live in the NY area and would like to purchase a satellite dish to watch some Boston TV stations so I could see my beloved sports teams regularly. I am not interested in DirectTV and have heard that through FTA I could just buy a dish and point it to the stations I want. My questions are:

1. Is this possible?
2. What dish do I need and where do I go to buy it?
3. Who does the installation?

WELCOME to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA forum.

Some local type channels are available FTA, I would check the Lyngsat chart.

www.lyngsat.com

You will need at least a 30" dish for KU FTA

You can do the install yourself (We can help)

Or have a look here for an installer in your area....

RJH, most likely you will not find boston stations FTA, tho you might find FTA stations showing boston games.
