Hi Ron, here is the link to get an exact quote for new customers. Just select "no" when prompted to agree to the 24mo. commitment contract. Then you can see the normal costs and monthly fees. If you already have Dish, you can use the Add Programming link on your account info page of the Dish website.

Be sure to compare the channel lineup to make sure the HD channels you want are included in the TurboHD package/s.

1. It's fine. Wish I had more Fox networks. DirecTV Choice Xtra HD DVR is a better buy, but Dish Network hardware is considered superior.

2. On a 37" LCD from 10' away, it's dandy. Occasionally notice that the blacks or very dark colors are noisy, but that's not usually a problem.

3. Depends on your location. My municipality charges a "cable tax" that is different from yours.
