so we signed up for dish we have an install on the 23rd can't wait now that all of our issues with miss communication have been resolved..
we just leased a wally so that we could get the free install and the two year price lock...
can we add the wally into the mix??? from what i read it would need a seperate dish!!!!
since part of our deal is that we could lease the wally and take it camping and they would install the hopper at no charge for us does the wally even need to be connected to do call backs to take advantage of the new customer deals??? or can we just tell the installer were just going to toss it in the camper????
do we need to stay at our address for a year before we can get a free move??? if so do they have a deal to let you pay without extending the contract???
the rep was pleasant to deal with and knew what they were doing if they didn't know what they were doing then they asked questions!!! and problems were solved..

What do you mean you leased a wally but are getting a free hopper? Do you have the wally already? Do you plan to use the wally at the house at all? I personally recommend having it connected for updates that way when you do go camping it ensures a smoother initial startup. A hopper and wally can be installed on a single dish with the right equipment. What are you using to go camping? Do you have a separate dish or a tailgater?

our hopper 3 and 4K joey was not free!!! we have owned it for a while!!! we thought of leasing a wally and buying a dome style dish... but that looks like to be a bad idea since it's not compatible with an H3 setup in the mix on the same dish. i called in this morning and changed to order to a hopper with sling since it's compatible with the H3!!! we will get the wally at camping world and add it on later with a dome dish. we just want a pice of leased hardware on the acct to take advantage of new customer deals!!!

I still don't understand. So you currently have a hopper3 and a 4k Joey, but no service? And are trying to order a wally so dish will install your already owned equipment? Because that's absolutely not how it works. The installer will only do what's on the work order which would be one room. And again a wally and hopper3 can use a single dish with the right hardware but it won't be on the work order. Even moving to a hopper w sling they aren't going to install your other equipment without additional fees.
Why don't you just sign up as new customer with a new hopper3 and a joey3 then sell your purchased equipment and buy a wally. Then explain to your installer what you want and they might install the equipment to have your wally connected at the house when not at the rv. They may charge you a fee though. Mostly depends if it's an in house tech or a contractor. Contractors can get away with more since they buy the equipment themselves. But again they'll probably want to charge you to boost their sales numbers.

yes we currently own a hjopper 3 with a 4k joey. we were going to lease a wally just to have the access card number on the acct to take advantage of new customer promo's!!! we askes if we could lease a wally and toss it in the camper and just hook our hopper 3 and joey up they did agree to it. now if we wanted to activate just the hopper and joey it's automaticly a prepaid acct with no leased box. i hope this gives you a better understanding of what we are trying to do..

Your way around this, potentially, is to get the Hopper and Joey installed. Even as a new customer, I think Dish will do it with owned equipment, just like someone buying a 2nd Hopper 3 can get a Work Order to have it installed.
Then, obtain a work order to have the Wally installed as a campground, vacation, or outbuilding receiver at the same address. I've had those work orders before. That will get you the 2nd Dish.
OR
Have the installer use a DPP LNB with a DPH 42 or Hybrid 34 switch, explain you need the third output on the LNBF to add a Wally directly to the same Dish. The tech should be able to add the extra equipment to the WO by calling in to have it tagged, or just adding it. In-house vs Sub techs have different "rules"

i like the way you think. we can use our owned boxes. but we need a leased box to take advantage of the free install and the two year price lock. they need numbers from the smart card and box id numbers to activate the deals!!! as it stands now we did get them to agree to install the hopper and joey free and give us the price lock!!! i told the rep we would just throw the wally up in the closet and buy a dome dish later for camping. it went pretty good. though i will try your way just incase the installer gets all weird LOL.. though why you need a leased box to take advantage of promo's is beyond me. you can own your own hardware but be warned if you don't want to lease a box you'll go straight to a prepaid acct and pay for the install and one moth of programming up front at full price...
