It's the biggest sporting event of the year and now you can watch the Super Bowl in high definition on CGEM.

The WGEM Fox affilliate is broadcasting Super Bowl XXLII on its over-the-air digital channel.

CGEM doesn't usually show programs in HD because it shares the airwaves with WGEM. But for Sunday's game CGEM, and not WGEM, will air in high def.

Jim Lawrence, director of Engineering/Operations, WGEM said, "It's one of those special programs that you'd like to be able to. Since the HD is available from Fox, we wanted to take every opportunity to make the effort to make it available to viewers with digital televisions."

Super Bowl XXLII will match the New York Giants against the undefeated New England Patriots.

Fox's game coverage starts at 5 pm, central time.
